Another snack (from my mother's recipe book) with the versatile Besan (Gram Flour) that turns the nutrient packed cabbage into a protein treat !
Found in shades of dark green, red (purple) and
pale green that is almost white, the cruciferous vegetable comes in both varieties – the smooth
leafed green and purple cabbage and the crinkle-leafed savoy cabbage.
It is rich in Vit K & C and dietary fiber and also contains B6, folate,magnesium and potassium.

The leafy and firm vegetable can either be steamed, boiled,fried, sautéed, braised, pickled or used
in salads or soups.The kimchi, the sauerkraut, the bubble and squeak, the
coleslaw and our desi spiced cabbage shows how cabbage is cooked differently in
different countries.
So heres something for a snack at tea time or at
cocktails too!
