RAW PAPAYA SALAD

RAW PAPAYA SALAD

Ingredients 

Raw Papaya – 1 medium cut into half

Roasted unsalted peanuts – ½ cup, but if quantity after grating papaya is more add little more

Tomatoes – 2 small size chopped

Green Chillies – 2  chopped 

Jaggery -1 small  to medium piece 

Tamarind – 1.5 tbsp 

Red Chilli powder – a pinch 

Salt to taste

Few sprigs coriander leaves for garnishing


Method 

1. Grate the Raw Papaya

2. Add the chopped green chillie and the chopped tomatoes

3. Prepare the Jaggery syrup:

Liquify the Jaggery pieces in a hot pan , then add the chilli powder, tamarind juice and salt and mix well.  Then remove and cool.

4. Then pour the cooled mixture over the grated papaya and toss.

5. Add the roasted peanuts and toss the salad once again .

6. Garnish with coriander leaves 

7. Serve cold
